Monday Fun day

Hola a toros blogging world. On Monday we (Waikowhai Primary School) had the last fun day of the year, It was SUPER fun. We had so many fun activities including one of my favourites, scooters and more wheels. This activity was one of my favourites because I own a pro scooter, another bonus because we could ride around the whole court. Another one of my favourites was the slip and slide because you got to go really fast but a bad thing about the slide was that, when you go really fast , you might fly over the red cushions and start scraping your back against the grass ( Mostly if you are not wearing a shirt.)  This was the most exciting, enthusiastic day ever. Here are some photos of me:)  ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜€

Rippa zones

Bonjour everyone! Today I will be showing you my favourite highlight of the year. My favourite highlight of the year is the Rippa Rugby Zones. This is my favourite highlight because we got to go to Eden park and play with very talented schools. Another reason was because I could finally get out and about being active instead of staying at school and doing worksheets! Please leave a comment down below, Here is some photos about the day.  Blog you later!

The celebration day #Awesome!

The celebration day was a blast!
Hola Bloggers, today I will show you my celebration day slideshow. This slideshow is packed with photos about the day. It also has some descriptive words about explaining what I liked and what I didn't like. What I found hard: I found that most hats confuse me a little bit because I had a perfect idea in my mind but, I just could not put it into sentences. What was easy: I found the start easy because the teachers said that we could look at the photos of the day but!, I have already seen the photos about the day so then that gives me a big head start. Reflections: I think maybe next time I could go over and read my sentences again. Here is my finished work. ENJOY!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜

Creative Writing - Manukau

Hello blogging world, Yesterday for creative writing we (Seniors) had to write a story from a picture of a small baby turtle.Challenges: One big challenge for me was that I love to ride pro scooters and play soccer. So when I heard 'Creative' Writing I thought I could write about scooters. But, I knew I like playing soccer, plus, since turtles are born on beaches and people like to play soccer on the beach, I decided to make a story about the turtle seeing people playing and more other things.

Here is my finished piece.

Procedure writing - How to make Recycled Paper

Hello blogging world, Today I will be showing you how to make paper from my experience. The Reason why we ( Class Manukau ) are making paper is because of a very exciting event, The Waikowhai primary Celebration Day. Let me show you how to make Recycled paper.

Materials Needed: Mesh,Deckle,1 Bucket's,Old shirt, large container ( that can fit the deckle and mesh ) Water (Warm - Hot), Egg Beater, Used paper and some towels.

Warning: Remember to put your old shirt on before anything.

Step 1 : Grab your used Paper and rip it up into pieces sized 5 - 7 cm.You then put the ripped paper into your bucket. (Remember: The smaller the paper the more easy it is to turn it into pulp)

Step 2: Then you get the  ripped paper which should be inside the bucket and pour warm water  into the bucket.

Step 3: Get your egg beater and mix the paper water, until you create a mixture the is all pulpy. ( Make sure your water is the colour of the paper.

Step 4: You then pour your pulpy mixture into the large container.

Step 5: Dip both hands in and swirl around letting your pulp swim around in the water. (Your water should turn into the colour of the paper)

Step 6: Put together the mesh and deckle. Grip the mesh and deckle tightly and dip the mesh and deckle landscape or portrait.

Step 7: When you think you are ready, bring the mesh and deckle out along with the pulp.

Step 8: Take the top of the deckle off,

Step 9: Gently take the mesh off and carefully place it onto a towel.

Step 10: Place another towel on top of the paper and flip the towels carefully

Step 11: Take the towel and mesh off and leave the paper to dry.

Then... Congratulations you have made homemade paper!

My Reflections:
What was good: I thought that making paper was totally cool because you can save the earth and trees.
What was bad: The bad thing was taking the mesh and towel off, The reason for this was because sometimes the paper sticks onto the mesh and wrecks the whole thing.
How has thinking changed: Making paper was so cool because there are things I have never learnt about for example, the mesh and deckle.
Connections to sustainability: I think reusing paper to make recycled paper is a big help for the Environment. People cut down trees for paper and trees provide oxygen for us to breathe. So making recycled paper is really good fro the earth and the environment.

Waikowhai Primary School Celebration Day

Hello Blogging world, This week we are going to be very busy, Because we are going to be making products for the Waikowhai Celebration day! The Waikowhai Celebration Day will be held on November the 25th. The whole three classes of Te Waka Ako is going to be making cool products such as, Soap (Waitemata) , Tote bags ( Hauraki )  and finally Hand Made paper ( Manukau ). I am in class Manukau so I am going to be making hand made paper. Since we (Manukau) were making paper some of the paper we made did not turn out the way we expected it to be but some did. SO, we then decided to use the paper that was not formed  properly and cut that paper to make other things for good uses like Gift tags, pictures for the Christmas Cards we made and more! Since we were making a lot of stuff we ( Te Waka Ako ) Decided to make some posters to put around the neighbour hood. What I found Hard: What I found hard was the fact that we ( Manukau ) were making lots of cards and gift tags that we did not have too much time to finish off the posters. What I learnt: I learnt how to make paper which was very fun because I have never experienced how to make paper.  Here is my finished piece of work.

CYBERSTALK??? OR CYBERSPY???

Hello blogging world yesterday for cyber-smart Gerard gave Waitemata and Manukau a very hard task to look for Ako-hiko digital classes and other clusters all on a website called Google my maps. This task for me was quite hard because we had a google drawing that had some tasks for us to complete. The problem with this was that on the google drawing it had a task to find people from 5 different country's that have visited my blog, But I did not have that much people from other country's. Here is my  project. Hope you enjoyed and please leave a comment have a great holiday! ^_^ ๐Ÿ˜Ž
